Wow Pop, you really out-did yourself on that box! lol

The experiment that I would like to see is "AR-15 vs. 12ga penetration (inside a home)".

Evan, that is what today is about. There are other calibers, guns, tannenrite, suicide belted watermelons, and so forth.

But the #1, above all is the box of truth .223 vs 12 Gauge test that was rather inconclusive. Not to mention, that choice is pretty much sums up much of INGO's caliber pics.

    Can't wait to get started!

Not sure if I copied you on the PM, but I've got some other commitment tonight that may keep me from joining you guys. If that falls through, however, I'm headed down ASAP!

    Dagnabit! Well if that changes...

And, remember, you know the guy with the box and I am sure today will raise questions as well as answers - requiring more tests!

    Quick update

Techres is on-site. We've shot pistol calibers through drywall and then water jugs. We're setting up for rifle calibers now.

One surprise...After having odd results with a .45 shot, we realized I'd picked up a .40 S&W round thinking it was a .45. It fired and did some damage to the water jugs, but didnt' have the velocity to expand the HP round. DOH! :n00b:

Techres is getting some great video!

    More to come....

I know after a .45 goes through a hand it can go through some walls, doors, clothes and stop when it comes to the wedding dress. Not my hand..................or my dress.

If you need unique items remember goodwill stores too. A microwave might be similar to a storm door and steel door behind it etc...I just tossed out an old door. Next one I will keep for you.

    Thanks everyone for your patience.

    Testing was performed:

The box has been inspected for the effects:

And the results have been recorded for analysis:

Sadly, the initial analysis was delayed by a suicide attack from a watermelon from the "Alquieda in Brown County" who had a tannerite filled bomb belt:

I will say that we fought bravely....

    ...And did so on camera!

    All uploads are in process.

I've got two small children at home, we go through milk at a rate of a gallon / 1.5 days. I will contribute jugs as fast as I can gather them. I can also try and round up some drywall, someone pm me with the size that fits the test chamber of death and I'll get them pre-cut for easier transportation. My also be able to contribute some various brands of ammo in a few different calibers (this is totally depending on my purchase power after buying ammo for NFA day)
