Fell off the wagon today, big time. Damn you, Dove white chocolate. :ar15:

If you are going to have a chocolate snack, at least make it dark chocolate with >60% Cacao. It has anti-oxidants, which are good for you, other chocolates don't have any redeeming qualities, other than taste. I get a small ramekin with about an ounce of dark chocolate chips when i get a craving. This is easier for portion control than trying to not eat an entire candybar.

I don't really like dark chocolate. I've been cutting way down on sugar, and I just got a craving for something really sweet. I'm fine today.

That's where I'm at (though I do love chocolate and most other sweets)...I've done pretty good scaling back on the sweets. Now just to pull back on portions.

Being off for almost three weeks and the jolt of going back to work has really knocked my sleep patterns out of whack and hence my budding exercise regimen.

Has anybody used a Fitbit? I've got friends that love them, but I don't know if they're worth the $99.

Considered it but I don't need all the other junk that comes along with it. Instead I downloaded Human for my iPhone and it tracks how many minutes I walk, run, bike, etc.. Good enough for me for now.

Just from work today, and I'm still headed to the gym and well under on calories for the day!

I've been using a Jambox UP for nearly a year now. Functions as a pedometer, but also track sleep and the iPhone app that you synch with maintainsa record of both for you. Plus it integrates with My Fitness Pal if I recall correctly.

Anybody planning to do any Rocky 4 montage-style training in the snow this weekend?

I might play "Eye of the tiger" on a loop while building a snow man.

Which app is this? No real need to PM it - can just post the name here no? I'm *assuming* it's the app called 'Human' I keep seeing mentioned but I'd like some verification :).

I've been known to do reverse snow angels when drinking heavily. (That's when you fall face first into the snow and flail your arms attempting to get back up.) But this is day 5 (I think) without a cigarette and no smoking means no alcohol which means no reverse snow angels. Tomorrow it is supposed to get up to 26 degrees here so I am thinking it may be a good day to take the little ones to do some snow sledding. Walking back up that hill should be a good workout.
