You are absolutely correct! If you see a similar plant climbing a tree just like this but with 5 leaves, that is Virginia Creeper. Often it is mistaken for poison ivy. Poison ivy will also have clusters of white berries in the late spring and in the fall the leaves will turn a scarlet red. It's a pretty plant.... from a distance.

Well, I only have this picture because the following morning after we visited the area down by the river, I had an incredibly bad outbreak. I ended up having to go to urgent care to get it taken care of. Scutter went back and took pictures of where I had been.

Here's a picture from inside the house so it's not that great of a picture.

I do not have a good camera anymore so a lot of my pictures aren't fabulous. Found some pictures taken while at Civil War Days at Connor Prairie in 2008.

Whoa, there, Bobby Lee! Looks like the South has conquered the lunch buffet!

Are those well-fed Confederates or the 13th Indiana (who wore gray at the beginning of the Civil War)?

That's Awesome!!! He's a big boy too. He looks comfortable in your backyard, wonder if he visits often? We have them all over the place around here. Hear them yapping all the time when I'm out at night. They sure have been keeping the ground hog population down around here. They haven't bothered any of my cats either. There seems to be a lot of kesler falcons, red tailed hawks, sparrow hawks, and bald eagles around too, so we must have a good population of little critter for all of them to eat. Not sure what that says about where I live but that's the facts. :):

Wait a minute. YOU are telling people the difference between poison ivy and Virginia creeper? Will wonders never cease?
