stick around and join in the conversations. If anything it will add some joy to your internet browsing, teach you some things, and help with your vocabulary. Win win

Welcome! We typically only make fun of those who should know better.

There used to be a sticky thread explaining this. Not sure where it went.

Short version:
INGO is a message board first. It just happens to have a classified section as a perk. Its not an armslist or other trading site. We dont want people here that just want to trade and not interact with the message board. If you want that, they require you to pay to support the board. Others of us pay anyway because we see the value and understand it takes money to run a site like this.

People trade here because they feel safe. They want to interact with the person and have an idea of their character to feel comfortable making deals. People who are just site supporters for the trading may not have as good of a time completing deals because many people here are not comfortable trading with total strangers. Yes, there are some who do not care. Others will require it to be a VERY good deal for them in order to take the chance on a deal with a total stranger. (which means its not as good of a deal for you)

Up here in NWI we have a lot of former military and we have to really tone down our way of speaking so that we do not get clobbered with the ban hammer.

We make a lot of typo's and punctuation mistakes. Where would the grammar nazi's be without people like us?
