Back a few years ago when I could get 9mm for 10$/100 and .40 for 12$ (Both walmart Winchester white box) I would put 5000+ a year downrange.
Now that I primarily shoot .45ACP and .40SW that costs 30-50$/100 I only put 1000-2000 downrange.
Sadly so far this year I've only fired around 100 rounds but I plan on going shooting on the 4th weekend and putting 1000-2000 rounds downrange between my glock, 1911 and some "new to me" SKS's and a Remington 870.
The week before the Electioni bought 25,000 primers and 30,000 assorted bullets.
I just ran our of small primers and have 1000 large left and I need so order some 45s and 44s. (and 357s and 9mm)
In a previous life as a civilian I used to shoot almost 10k rounds a year. But that was in the good ol' days before kids and soaring ammo prices. Now I'm lucky to get 1-2k down range a year and I feel guilty about that.
I remember the days when I was getting an ammo shipment just about every week, I'm sure the UPS guy was thrilled with me. Awh the good ol' days.
