I used to pump out thousand of rounds and reloads per year but I have to be honest - not so much the past year. I did what I consider a smart thing and changed my ccw and home defense handgun to what I was most familiar with - a 2" and 4" .357. I've put more .357 rounds downrange than every other caliber combined. Still - no excuse. Somethings been getting in the way and I need to find out what it is and eliminate it.

Your poll doesn't go high enough, lol. I have backed down from my 50-60,000 thousand rounds a year however as I don't shoot Action Pistol anymore and seldom shoot skeet which use to be a weekly thing for me.

Well if this includes the rounds put down range by my girls and myself then we average 500 per week. They do love them AR's and pistols!

Before my daughter went to college we used to average at least 2000 rounds each range visit with well over one per month. After she started college, it dropped to only once every three months or so, except during summer break where I would lose count.

Then there was the obama-messiah/ ammo shortage explosion in prices and the number of range trips dropped to once every three months regardless as to time of year. Also the round count per range trip dropped to well under 500 rounds including .22LR.

    I miss the days of 7.62x39 being $80 per 1000, 9mm being around $100 per 1000, and .22LR being about $7 per 500!

Would not be surprised to see a drop in prices in the not too distant future. There was a time many years ago that 7.62x39 was what it is today, only to drop under $100 for a while before this recent skyrocket of prices.

Who would have thought that daughters would be this much fun as a father!? LOL:rockwoot:I still have 2 years of high school left for the oldest and 7 years left for the youngest at this time. It looks like we may be in the family way again right now so who knows! I know it will make no difference boy or girl! A son would be nice but it truely dosen't matter!

I have shot 1000 or so rounds a year for a few years but that will go up as I have a new M&P 15-22 and am already on my second 550 pack of ammo.

We shot an easy 5K last year. Between the shooting leagues and as many as 3 range trips per week, we went through lots of ammo. There were 5 spam cans of Mosin Nagant ammo and even though I only started to save 45 brass last may, as well as having shot a bunch of aluminum and steel 45, I ended up with over 2000 cases when I started to reload. Add in the 380, 9mm, .223 and .22lr and we had to be well over 5K.

This year it's much lower though. We're down to two range trips per month and shoot less on each trip. Total this year will probably be in the 2K to 4K range.

try to shoot my 22 twice a month ~500
that makes ~1100 rounds per month if I don't do any other shooting(but i usually do)
So definitely over 7000 a year
