My favorite was the return flight from my cultural studies class in 1997 (that's crossing international boundaries, right?). I was seated next to a math professor at NYU who was Russian. Most interesting 8 hour discussion I've ever had. FYI, being on a plane with a sinus cold sucks. He completely made up for my miserableness.

It was incredibly beautiful. The icebergs take on so many different shades of blue/green. Not that cold at Xmas. I swam in Paradise Bay on Xmas eve. Unfortunately, my (then) 80 yr old mother broke her pelvis on the return trip across the Drake Passage. She was on the bridge when a big wave hit. Now THAT was a trip getting her back to Whiting..well, Munster Community.
Soon the military wont have enough money to send anyone see the world. I mean if your family has a 14 trillion dollars bedt you probably wont afford vacations for long.
Yes, just stay here and learn to speak and properly type the English language.
