Covid made me post out to a different department in the mill.

My old position was a 2 man job and between my partner and I, I was the low man in seniority. If there was a call off and my partner didn't want to cover it, I was stuck (barring the couple of extremely rare scenarios that would get me out of it).

This happened to me a lot because one of the guys from the crew that followed us started using the "I came into contact with someone who had Covid" excuse to call off all the damn time. They'd lock him out for 10 days(paid in the beginning)and then he'd come back for a couple weeks and do it all over again. It got to the point it was almost predictable, doubly so if a holiday was coming up.

So I posted out to a department that doesn't operate on a relief system.
