How do I get the new plastic LTCH?

The Wife's came today!!

For those wondering, it's the exact same size as the Driver's License.

Do you guys know if I need to obtain a new card since I moved? Or do I just notify the SP of my change in address? I will only be at my current address for the next 4-6 months while I look for a home to purchase. I don't want to have to order two cards if not necessary.

I figured it out. I just changed it without requesting a dupe. I'll wait for my permanent address and then get the pink card.

I'm curious as to why there's no signature block on the new license. Even if it was a white writeable strip on the back like a credit card.....

Unless it's the original (or a copy you made) it will always say "Duplicate".

Ok, so I got my duplicate today, and in true government cluster**** fashion, my wife got another one... not a "Duplicate" marked one, just another original identical to the one she got yesterday.

I see another odd thing. Have a look at the issue date. Chezuki's shows what I assume was his original issue date for his ltch but yet mine showed issue date of this month and year even though my original issue year was in 2012.

Simmer down there cowboy. I was just ribbing you. I certainly meant no offense. Im 200lbs but 6'2" and I could certainly use alot more exercise myself.

Now what about this odd "Issued" business on our plastics?

The "duplicate" is mine and has the same date as my original paper Lifetime LTCH. The other 2 are my wife's which are newly issued.

The license number on my paper and plastic are the same but everything else is different between them. It appears that they issued me a "new" LTCH even though it says duplicate. Because my plastic says Lifetime instead of a 4yr which is what my paper is. The issued date on my plastic is 10/10/14 even though my paper was issued in 2012.


When I go in to the website to check status, it shows Pending approval.

I applied for my duplicate on Tuesday, when I go to the website to check on the progress it says approved, so I guess it's just the waiting game.

Mine came in yesterday as well. License number is the same, it has the old lifetime issue date with all other info the same, marked duplicate. I'm glad it has the older date, I wish it had my very first original date though. Not important but would have been nice.
