Just because some politicians decide another political actors actions are legal doesn't mean they were right.
Bonnet? Are you a secret Brit?Run into traffic and then grab the bonnet of the car?
You didn't answer the question... you legally defended the actions. He didn't ask if he had a legal right to pull the trigger...
And you're surprised?
Bonnet? Are you a secret Brit?
Hardly.
Well speak English English, not English. Ok?Hardly.
Had this happened in 1776... the townspeople would have burned this cops house to the ground.
I have a feeling that if this incident had happened in 1776 the disturbed individual with two knives threatening to kill people in the neighborhood would have been killed by the town people long before the cops would've got there.
Lots of people where shot for "illegally camping" in 1776. They were called Indians.
When folks tried to search their stuff and force them off the rocks they were sleeping on, they got kinda mean too. Must have been a lot of EDP back then. Savages.
I was in Iraq and did not engage potential enemy combatants for far worse action on their part. Including wielding weapons much deadlier than a knife 10-20 feet away. There are plenty of times I was within my ROE to engage and chose not to, at times an instant decision. I do not regret any of the times I chose not to engage. I am a warrior, not a murderer. This incident is absolutely disgusting. The police officers in this video, from what I've seen from the video, are cowards without honor. Why were the beanbag rounds and dog used after lethal force? I would have started with those. Escalation of force anyone?
This sort of thing seems to be escalating throughout the country and alarms me. I know that a majority of officers are good-to-go but people like the ones in the video are tarnishing your good name. Why aren't the police policing their own? Like we did in the Marines. In my opinion the local area in which these officers live should ostracize them; do not sell them groceries, gasoline, serve them in a bar or restaurant, etc... Granted that is difficult to do in a larger city like Albuquerque. If these were my family members, I would also ostracize them from the family. There are police officers in my family...
