I'm planning on investing in an HK USP .45 TACTICAL in the next week or so.

I've been looking all over the Internet and haven't come across anyone that's had anything bad to say about them, except for the price!

So, if you have anything you want to chime in with.... Speak now, or I never want to hear about it. haha.

What do people think about a mark 23?

I used one pretty regularly for alot of years. I personally think it is one of the finest combat handguns ever made. But the damn thing is a BEAST! You will pay a ton of money for an excellent handgun that you will never carry. You cant conceal it and I've found no way to carry it comfortably. The only real carry option is on the thigh and it will bang into everything you pass. A great gun to have in certain situations but every bit as useful to the average shooter as a .50AE Desert Eagle.

I carried a HK USP 45 for 15 years, HK's are nothing but fine weapons!

They are plastic and still $700. But hey that's just me.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think they have polymer coated steel frames.

CDNN is the best place to get an HK if you want it new in box near that price on some of the models - at least in my experience -

I went and put some money down on the one at Gander (86th) yesterday.

Then two hours later got a call it'll be $1600. for a replacement steering colum for my Crown Vic.

There was some %%% and ### and even some @@@ and every combination thereof. $%#%! F*@!

Good thing they give you 90 days, I guess......
