My first internet shopping experience, knowledge of Dick's Sporting Goods, and first job out of college all came crashing together when I needed a new pair of shoes and thought I would see what Dicks dot com had to offer, on a company computer.

As you can imagine what popped up was not shoes.

It was a small business, only 15 of us. The owner's wife sat us down and started asking why "ads for homosexual dalliances" had started popping up on the computers.
