Someone or group of someones have just walked away with some mega firepower. :ar15:

They are going to be in big time trouble once they get caught! Just hope we don't hear a report about the full autos being used by criminals next.

    Stay safe out there people.

    ---
HARVEY | Harvey Police are working with county and federal authorities to retrieve more than 20 weapons that were stolen from a trailer at the city's police firearms range.
The 21 weapons and several other items were discovered missing at roughly 9 a.m. Monday when officers responded to the office at the range at 153rd Street and Campbell Avenue.
The stolen weapons, which reported include automatic AR-15 rifles and MP5 submachine guns, were reported to the Illinois State Police, who issued a State-Wide Terrorism Report; the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives; and all local police departments, police spokeswoman Sandra Alvarado said in a release.
In addition, the city sent a notice of the theft to all police departments in the United States through the Law Enforcement Agencies Data System, Alvarado said.
Alvarado said the case is considered "high priority," and that the city will be contacting the Illinois State Police and the Cook County Sheriff to ask for additional investigators to assist with this investigation.
The Department is asking anyone who may information to contact the Department at 708-210-5226.

Some people just shouldn't be allowed to have guns... I mean, or at least they should be required to keep them in a safe or something.

This would not have been an issue if full-autos were readily avaliable at your local Cabela's, Garner Mountain, Dicks's, Wal-Mart, etc... :D But since they aren't and are hard to come by our good old friend the criminal needs to get his guns elsewhere. ;)

Maybe the Illinoise SWAT had some dogs in kennels that needed gut shot to die a slow death so they could get some Youtube attention like Missouri SWATS FINEST

wait. i thought the whole idea of banning gun in illinois is that regular people couldnt have them, and criminals couldnt steal them from them....

so it goes back to this.. they only way to have effective gun control is to take them away from EVERYONE. and make sure there is no way to get more in. (impossible)

Are INGO members the only ones smart enough to use a gun safe? These are the people that are protecting the city of Harvey and they let this happen. Wouldn't want to be the chief of police, and have to explain this.

Gotta be pretty bold to do that. They will get caught tho. You cant help but to brag about owning a fully auto AR-15 to someone...who in turn will tell someone and it will eventually get back to the authorities.

Unless <<wearing tin foil hat>> we think about to the other post we had here a few days ago about how terrorist could wreak havoc by usnig full autos and going to a mall (anywhere in america not major cities) and just pulling the van up and opening fire before leaving. Doing that in several parts of the country all at once to cause chaos.

So if these robbers just happen to sell these guns...

    The though it scary.

Man that Harvey must really be a hot bed of crime if the cops need full auto AR15s and MP5s! They had to keep em in a trailer to be able to Roll Out rapidly to stomp out any pot smokers or stray Corgis!! Wonder what the "other items" are. Glad it happened it the Peoples Public of Illinois, just shows how well all those strict gun laws and gun owner ID's work.
