22lr is a wonderful thing. I had sticker shock after I figured out the cost of ammo, retail, shooting 45 ACP. FNS is fun shooting so I don't mind using my 22lr.

22 pistol is on my short list. I have a 22 rifle but it is tube fed.

.45 would be quite painful. Especially if shooting factory ammo

If i can lift my mk2 or 1022 to sight level by friday, I will be there, but it is not looking good.

And yes, there is a very good chance she will beat me if we go. But getting beat by my wife and getting crap about it from you guys IS STILL more fun than sitting at home on the couch!

Is there a good place to watch from, and not be in the way. I will help any way I can, setup or take down. Thanks

If you don't already have them, don't run out and buy them just for FNS. You really don't need mag carriers at all; you can stage the mags on the barrel at the shooting position and load from there.

Can I come and be a spectator Friday?

People ask that every month, and every one of them has expressed regret after the fact that they didn't bring their gear. So do yourself a favor, just come and shoot. HICKMAN has some videos in other FNS threads here, and on YouTube, that can give you the "flavor" of the event beforehand, but there's no substitute for getting out and actually doing it.

Bring your gun, 4-5 mags, eye and ear protection. If you don't have a holster, you can bring your gun case or a gun bag to keep it in until you shoot.

Bring your stuff and a couple hundred rounds of ammo, you'll be glad you did
