Who says they didn't? It was Portland though. The city lets "protesters" have the run of the city. If they did call, they were probably told to **** off.

If the police had shown up I would imagine it would have been included in the video. It would have fit perfectly into what he was saying, minus the light threats about hurting people.

My point is, calling and showing up are not the same thing. Portland has not been very active in policing these protesters. They may well have called and the police did nothing.
