Is it required that one obtain a fishing license to fish in retention ponds in private neighborhoods? I looked on the DNR website but the only thing that was mentioned was public lakes, rivers, streams, and tributaries. Are neighborhood retention ponds, or say ponds on the property of businesses considered "public tributaries"?

I caught a boatload of panfish and a crappie. Really wish I would have kept that bass. Maybe I will do a reproduction. I know there are bigger fish in the pond, I have seen them. But im pumped for my biggest bass to date.

Well I finally went fishing just for a littel bit yesterday with my 8 yr old neice. took her to a pond just up the road. All we caught were some really small bluegill. It was still a great day. Great weather but the best part was fishing and watching my little neice catch and reel her fish in. Made this Aunt proud. :D

Those are some beautiful slabs in the pictures. Going to have to get my fishing license soon. Getting the itch to feel that "tick" on the end of my fishing rod. :rockwoot:
