Not a motorcycle. but back in the day right after I graduated in 1980. I used to have a pristine 68 Fire engine red Mustang, sunroof, Ricardo style racing bucket seats and had the Exterior Decor Group with the turn signals in the hood.
Me and a buddy came out of the old White Castle on Madison on the south side of Indy and had a couple of guys sitting on my freshly repainted hood. Didn't go to well for the two who thought it was funny to lounge on my car.

I handed the WC's to my buddy who stopped at the front of my car to ask what was going on while I slid to the back and quietly popped the trunk and pulled out a baseball bat. While they was blowing him :poop:,
I walked up the passenger side and obliterated a trash can while saying "get off my car" You'd thought they was track stars as fast as they ran off.

Loved that car, too bad a drunk loved it more than me, he ran a stoplight in Mooresville, hit me so hard on the right side of the doghouse that he tore off the front end. Was my graduation present from my mom because I was the first male on my mothers side of the family to graduate HS in over 50 years.

Ah yeah, I remember that WC (and "the strip") back in the day. It's closed now and they're turning it into a liquor store.

Southern Plaza to Garfield Park, everything in between was a constant circle of vehicular motion, with plenty of spots to park and talk. WC, K-Mart, Guarantee Auto, Kenny's Shoes, Car wash, Target parking lot.
Back when it was more important to cruise and talk, while today it's beat downs, thugery, theft and bragging what you did to people.

40 years ago I would have never imagined today's current crisis and events.

I mixed two thoughts: the good ol days at Sturgis and when cell phones with cameras and internet connections ruined this country.

I know. And I razzed you about it, but when I think about “20 yrs ago”, my mind goes to Reagan much faster than it does to the Clinton/GWB transition.

    and yes........ :oldwise:

I know what you mean. I always used where I was stationed to identify where we were and what was going on in the world. Trouble is I have to add a decade to my calculations now.

20 years ago I used to say 20 years ago and now I still say 20 years ago to refer to the same time period. I guess I need to update that.

I saw a dude, at a local hospital in France, wearing a t-shirt that read "ANTIFA RESISTANCE" on it.

Not sure if it's worth reporting in this thread. :dunno:

He was alone and didn't attack me, or start a riot by himself.

You are being lulled into a sense of complacency,
