Been out of commission for a while. I was on vacation last week in Virginia and as I was leaving I tripped, hit my head, and got a concussion because I'm an idiot. I've been too damn dizzy for a cigar.

Bob, don't judge me, but I recently traded a Browning .380 for as S&W 4566 with big rubber Hogue grips. I...I really...and I feel dirty saying this, but, I like it. Now, slow down a minute, let's not get ahead of ourselves, it ain't a 1911. The Smith is a bit...clunky. But I really like it. It's a big, tough, (supposedly compact) .45, and I dig it.

So what's that, 6 Hail Marys and 4 Our Fathers?

"John Browning, Who art in Heaven,
    Hallowed be Thy name;
Thy flawless gun, the action runs,
As though t'were conceived in heaven.
We give Thee too often our hard-earned bread
    For Thy deterrent to trespassers,
So we can destroy those who trespass against us.
And taunt us not (too often) with custom work temptation,
But protect our families from evil,
For Thine is the mainspring, the slide,
    and the 230 grain
    For ever and ever."

    Or some such thing...

I'm planning to be at Pine Island Wednesday if anyone is showing up.

And no, I'm not planning to open a shooting range next to a cigar shop. Sorry.

As for the Smith 4566, not for me! I had a 4516 and the gun was fine but the safety was a real bad thing. Up and Away!?! Talk about bad ergonomics. I realize the 4566 has no safety, worse, its a DAO. Yikes, were you drinking when you went gun shopping?

I remember one time I didn't have a towel so I used a hair dryer. It looked like the old videos of choppers landing in Vietnam.

I shaved my daughter's jersey number in my back hair when she played PeeWee soccer . . . cheering at the sidelines I was known as 'SuperFan' . . . or something? . . . I'm not really sure what the mothers of the other players were saying, they were running away screaming so it was hard to tell.
