I fully expect to see negative changes to gun laws introduced in the legislature this upcoming session. I also plan to fight those changes when they are introduced, partly by my own action and partly by mobilizing the members here.

When I start writing letters and making calls, I do so not only to my own reps but also to the members of the committees into which those bills are introduced. The more they hear against a bill, the less likely it will pass.

We have 18,000+ members. If only 1% of us contact a single legislator, that legislator will receive at least 180 comments about a bill. The chance that we will all contact the same one is small, so we need to get more of us making those calls and writing those letters. We also need to be aware that anti-gun forces will also be calling and writing, and we need to outnumber them. They are well-funded, but fewer in number than we are.

Will we have opposition to our lawful exercise of our natural rights? Sure, that's nothing new. Will we defeat that opposition? If I have anything to say about it, you bet your a** we will.

    Blessings,
    Bill

I don't remember any anti-2A legislation proposed and certainly none that passed AFAIK.

You just don't get it, do you?

When a gun owner does something that another gun owner does not like Sarah Brady senses a disturbance in The Force and uses her mind control powers to change laws without anyone knowing that they were changed.

    You poor delusional thing.

It was a joke based off of Kirk's sig line stating that his county was #2 most armed.

BTW we start day 2 of the defense's depositions today.

Also we have had to change court dates since our judge is retiring. As soon as we get a new date I will post it up.

I would have been very surprised if a date that far out would have stood anyway. Try for something in the Spring so we can mill around outside for the post-trial celebration.

meh... TF let us know when the Indiana SC is gonna hear your case. Cause just like the one in Hammond I'm betting that ya will lose at the lower level first even though it should be a slam dunk.

My case has nothing at all to do with Hammond and entirely different circumstances. Don't be so quick to judge Pink One.

    BTW new court date:

Monday January 7th, 2013. We are slated for 3 days of trial as of right now.

I am quite pleased to have been mistaken in my prediction.

For me, it's less important to BE right than to have and exercise them. ;)

And Kirk, FWIW, I quite like what he did: He exercised his rights! I don't think my fear of what the antis would do was unfounded, but am pleased that nothing bad did happen. Unfortunately, some good laws did not pass this last session, either. Related? Hard to say. Possibly.

    Blessings,
    Bill

LOL, sorry, this just strikes me as funny somehow. Judge is retiring, so, better pick a young judge this time? Probably don't get to pick your own judge do you?
