Live by the gun, die by the gun. Sooner or later those who choose this lifestyle find out the hard way it will catch up to them.

And Kut is probably right, that kid never had a chance (or had only a very slim one). Not altogether different than a lucky rescue dog who has a good home with a loving family versus a stray living on the street having to fight for its next meal. Not hard for me to admit I can't imagine myself in that dog's (or kid's) world.

This is the world we now live in.
No place is truly safe. Modern transportation has seen to that.
As far as the bar goes.... Drunks are easy prey.
I've been to the Grove many times when I drank. I haven't drank in almost 16 years now so it's been a while.
I worked the bars and partied at the bars. When you're around the night clubs it's what you should expect.
    These two walked into Karma.

All kids know is what they're taught or learn on their own.
14 yrs old and no chance at a life. With a parent like that the 14 yr old was already dead before he was killed.
Do you really believe that kid didn't know right from wrong? That it didn't matter to him, is one thing, but knowing right from wrong? Even by accident, the kid knew stealing was wrong!
