    I don't condone it. But...how many times have you ever turned a blind eye on something you knew was wrong?

    If you never have, then you're a good man. If you have, even once, you're human.

    Quite true, but the police aren't permitted to be human in that regard. They wield too much authority and power for that. They are accorded additional protection in some cases under the law: for that they surrender the right to turn a blind eye.

    Concerning death, threats of murder and other such things, I can honestly say I have never turned a blind eye to those things
