    Im not an expert in arrest techniques but you fight with the suspect BEFORE, not while you are trying to handcuff the suspect.You handcuff the suspect once the fight is over.
    Wrists and arms locks help stop the fight through pain compliance, then you can handcuff.
    You cant really fight with one hand busy holding the handcuffs, plus if you can only lock the cuffs on one wrist when the supsect is still moving and fighting you can get hurt pretty bad if you get hit on the face with your own set of handcuffs.

    Sometimes the fight starts after the first handcuff is placed on the person. Then it's a whole new ballgame.
