Remember Operation Northern Watch? We protected the Kurds Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays; the Turks bombed the Kurds on Tuesdays and Thursdays. NATO was involved so we took off on the weekends.

The US says it is stepping aside for an imminent Turkish operation against Kurdish-led forces within Syria that have until now been a key US ally.

I have no idea why we're helping Turkey. It has taken longer, but Trump's foreign policy is starting to become as incomprehensible as Obama's. It isn't there yet - that's a deep well to reach the bottom of. But it is starting the descent.
