Mexico has just declared war on the United States.

Let’s get the Apachies to fight the Mexicans.Well, shoot back - preferrably with an Apache
Great, nuclear reaction powered ramjets on cruise missiles - the catastrophic failure of which detectably raised radioactivity levels in the west and contaminated the test area. If the explaination of the power system is accurate, just how hot does that reactor have to get to power the hypersonic expansion of the heated gases

I think that it was the Soviet project that had those problems. The NB-36H only had a 1 megawatt reactor hung in the bomb bay to see what kind of shielding had a chance to be effective. Whenever it flew, the NB-36H was accompanied by other aircraft carrying a radiation safety team in case of a crash.Isn't that the one where they couldn't adequately shield the pilots or it would be too heavy to fly, so they brought pilots in their 50s and 60s out of retirement to be test pilots because it was thought they would die of natural causes before the radiation killed them?
Her tiny little mind would explode at the thought of a bunch of radioactive hot air being used to produce thrust.
I did wonder what centrifuges they used.
