Just read the update. I remember when my grandfather had open heart surgery for a bypass. Its a very painful experience. I feel for her...and you guys. I know you want to just step in and take the pain away from her...I would do the same. Not a good time to make her laugh either. :(

Overall, though. I am glad she is doing well....

Hang in there, it gets better fast. Kids are so resilient.

My son had open heart surgery when he was only 20 months old. He had surgery late on a Monday, was walking on Wednesday, and was home on Saturday. He is 26 now and doing well.

What you are going through right now is the hardest part. It is so difficult to watch them suffer and know that you can't make it go away, but God willing it will all seem like a distant memory before you know it.

Dang it...it's dusty in here again.

Hang in there...I know how hard it would be for me if this was one of my children. Prayers for comfort and healing!

That silken doll she has next to her is almost identical to my daughter's lifelong favorite named "she she." Those little comforts go a long way.

Hope you can get some rest.

My daughter had a very similar "baby" that was always a favorite. Glad she is resting...and your wife too. Try to get some naps in.

I'm praying for all of you to get some good sleep tonight, and hopefully she can move on to ice chips (and beyond) tomorrow.
