Well, I was gonna have some food delivered and watch porn on my lunch break today, but 88 said I can't.

I guess I'll have to do the dishes or something useful then.

    Morning all!
I think a lot of Americans are okay, but they aren't the ones running around and acting crazy. Just like a class in high school, you put several bad apples in the mix and it is a "bad class" though the majority isn't bad. There are unfortunately a lot of people that have a twisted way of thinking and they seem to be the same ones who don't see any reason to look at the election more closely to see if there were issues. I really do not understand their mindset. It's very sad to see what is going on.

Guten tag mein Jägerin. Lunch break for turkeys. Back to the bathroom. Making progress. Sort of.

Also; Is it ok to make hollow threats about a "sewer monster arm" if they don't settle down? Asking for a dad...

As expected, they aren’t having any public gathering for Zane’s funeral (my old friend who passed-away of Covid). That’s smart, of course, but still hard on me, as none of his remaining friends can gather for story-telling.
Best that we have is a “memory board” on the funeral home’s website, where one can leave a short blurb of sentimentality.

My oldest daughter sent me this poem of comfort. I’ve always loved the verse of Rumi.
Perhaps other CZ'ickos have been having a rough week, and this could help … so I’ll post it below.

This being human is a guest house.

    Every morning a new arrival.

    A joy, a depression, a meanness,

    Some momentary awareness comes

    As an unexpected visitor.

    Welcome and entertain them all!

Even if they’re a crowd of sorrows,

    Who violently sweep your house

    Empty of its furniture,

    Still, treat each guest honorably.

He may be clearing you out

    For some new delight.

The dark thought, the shame, the malice,

Meet them at the door laughing,

    And invite them in.

    Be grateful for whoever comes,

    Because each has been sent,

    As a guide from beyond.

    THE GUEST HOUSE, By RUMI

Sorry to hear that, MM. I recently attended a showing for some distant family, same family that we have been deep in the ancestry of... My grandmas cousin and her husband. She died just before thanksgiving on their wedding anniversary, she was in the hospital for something and contracted COVID right before they were about to transfer her to a nursing home for recovery... Her husband contracted it the same way and passed on December 31st. They were both there together. I looked at my wife and told her, that’s the way I want to go with you....
