IBTL/M too! Woo hoo! Good basic safety thoughts though, guys. Do NOT point the gun at yourself in anyway, PARTICULARLY your head, when doing ANYTHING with it. Four rules? Which one covers that???

Im sorry but having a gun discharge in the house and not hearing a gunshot?

Violated three if he wasn't trying to shoot himself. Of course, if it was intentional, then the safety rules don't apply at all.

• All guns are always loaded. - Violated as he was looking down the barrel without confirming empty.
• Never let the muzzle cover anything you are not willing to destroy. - Violated
• Keep your finger off the trigger until your sights are on the target. - Violated
• Always be sure of your target. - N/A if he wasn't trying to shoot.

You always have to violate at least two of the rules in order to hurt someone. There is a safety margin built into the rules. That is why doing stupid things like waving a gun in a bad direction doesn't automatically result in injuries.
