The charts below show projected hospital resource use based on COVID-19 deaths.

The projections assume the continuation of strong social distancing measures and other protective measures.

You can toggle the graphs for "America" or "Indiana" or any state you desire; Click on the Green "Interact with the data visualization" button below this graph's explanation.
You can also run the projections based on how much "social distancing" is accomplished.

I wonder how hot it will be when the 4th of July gets here? And how lean the zombies will be by then?

If we live through this thing, what will those that are troublemakers now be like then?

What in the **** is wrong with some of you people?
Well, for me the answer would be long and detailed.
Should I list it in chronological, alphabetical, or order of magnitude?
    :)

So, military life actually prepared us for something in the civilian world.
    :)
    :):
Yeah we have been practicing social distancing ever since we became civilians again lol
Yeah I am thankful for the military for many things. Gave me the tools to live and to keep my family living through very bad stuff. I guess it was a tradeoff:):

I agree with an earlier post about Trump doing a good job of letting the governors govern their states. It is kind of funny watching some in the media, and even some governors, learn about Federalism and how this country was set up to run.

This is not to the poster, but a question to all.

Just why why is it that literally 100% of doomsday predictions in my life have been way overblown? Global cooling, global warming, and there are others not coming to mind at the moment. All had a commonality, they wanted the people to give up freedom for security. I put no stock in any doomsday predictions no matter the lauded educational achievements of the predictors.

I know this isn't the general politics thread, but just a reminder about Cuomo

    https://nymag.com/intelligencer/2017/09/bill-de-blasio-in-conversation.html
In 2013, you ran on reducing income inequality. Where has it been hardest to make progress? Wages, housing, schools?
What’s been hardest is the way our legal system is structured to favor private property. I think people all over this city, of every background, would like to have the city government be able to determine which building goes where, how high it will be, who gets to live in it, what the rent will be. I think there’s a socialistic impulse, which I hear every day, in every kind of community, that they would like things to be planned in accordance to their needs. And I would, too. Unfortunately, what stands in the way of that is hundreds of years of history that have elevated property rights and wealth to the point that that’s the reality that calls the tune on a lot of development.

Also, while everyone's blaming Pres. Trump for a delayed reaction on the virus, Cuomo went out and told everyone Trump was wrong and overdoing it.
    Until very recently.

Uh ... All of that was from Bill de Blasio (mayor of NYC), not Andrew Cuomo (governor of NY). Both of them are turds, but they are two different people.

Never been a fan of the whole zombie thing, but IIRC the feed on brains, yes? Couldn't we barricade ourselves somewhere in DC and wait for the zombies to starve?

cuomo is a babbling idiot who said he is stockpiling in his state for when they need it, when other states need it NOW. hoarding DB

    Can you blame him?
He is the governor of HIS state. He is looking out for the interest of his citizens only.

We have to go up one more level, at the federal, to see the bigger picture of taking care of the nation.

Think of it this way. You got a stockpile of those N95 for you and your family. That is NOT fair! I need some, jamila needs some as well. Why are you hoarding them?

How about we have the INGO mods take away your stash and given them to us?

See the logic. His state prepared or got the resources for the mess on hand. He is NOT president of the nation. His duty is to his state. Just like your duty is to your family not the rest of ingo.

If you're doing it right, you don't need to run. Go up a stair case and burn it behind you. You just need to last for 1, or maybe 2, years until they decompose enough to become mechanically immobile.

I don't think we know what the zombies will be.

What will become of the intersection pan handlers? What about the meth/crack/opiod addicted? What about The Bernie bros, ANTIFA and BLM who have been spoiling for a fight or riot or excuse? What's gonna happen when the $600 a week money for nothin' runs out?

What's gonna happen when the cops virus pandemic practices become the cops routine practices after the pandemic?

I think head shots work on them, too; so you don't need to change tactics :)

Depends on which WWZ zombies: book or movie. The book zombies were very slow and able to be single-shot from a colonial-style firing line. The movie zombies were more reminiscent of the 28 days/weeks universe, where they were very fast.

Personally, when this thing mutates and we start getting them, I’m hoping for the slow version.

    Also, don’t forget the rules:
