Well people in general get injured all the time. The more active the person the more likely they are to sustain injury.And power lifters get injured all the time.
They’re all at the limits of what humans can do.
That’s why they’re in the pros and not selling cars in Des Moines.
I disagree that they are at the limits of what humans can do. I think it's the fact that modern athletes are working to improve year round. Heck even HS kids have year round training now. That wasn't the case when I was in school. There was a time when professional athletes worked a regular day job and their sport was more of a part time gig.
Well, unless they fail to manage the money from being in the pros. I mean there are plenty of former professional athletes that are working regular joe jobs. Riding the high tide at level doesn't last very long
