Kap is viewed as unpatriotic, so some genius decides, since he has a Muslim girlfriend, that must be where this "unpatriotic" protest stems. It's unfortunately is an attempt to paint Muslims as unpatriotic.

Sitting out the national anthem is not a protest against the government. It's a protest against America and Americans. It is the national anthem, not the government's anthem.
