New to this forum and find it interesting that swear words seem to be allowed as they appear in posts and I think that's fine , but in a gun forum you would at least think it would be okay the say **** the hammer when ever I do it gets asterisk. Maybe change the filter so correct terminology can be used.:dunno:

Sorry, the language filter is new as of this week.. or maybe last week.

Either way, **** is one of those words that is ... um. debatable.

Until we make a final decision (or the language gets back under control here), you'll just have to rooster your hammer.

I read many, many posts and in all the time I have been here, I can't say that I have ever seen that word used in an inappropriate manner.
I'm not saying it hasn't been used, I've just never seen it.:twocents:

Thanks! Quite alright. If only I'd a thought for a second, I know there are many words that depend on context, such as the word for threaded fastener. Civil is great, but correct terminology should hopefully be acceptable in the future when the bugs get worked out. Rooster the hammer, I like that!

Precisely why it's debatable. In many cases, it's not a word you would use in polite company, which is the atmosphere we're trying to maintain here. But you're correct... it isn't used frequently in an inappropriate manner, and this thread has been referenced in our "exceptions" list for review by the Power That Be (*ahem*Fenway*ahem*).
