    Go M1 rebarreled in 308 instead. Cheaper to shoot and its a classic. (including the ping... oh, wait. LOL )

    But if you ignore me, go for it. M1A it is.

    You need to buy the rifle AND all of the unnecessary accessories that should go along with it...

    I’ve had a few. They are fun guns and neat to shoot. Are they the most accurate? Out of the box, no. Are they the most practical? Probably not. In all honesty, for the price of an M1a you could probably build a decent AR-10 and buy a cheaper bolt gun that will be more accurate, but since this is what you want, and it’s a ‘fun gun’ purchase, I’d say definitely go for it!
