It may be the smoking ban. I'm not familiar with Indy's wording but BW3 in Kokomo was 21 and older to avoid the ban.

BWW and a lot of other places are 21 and up as of today due to the smoking ban that went into effect today, if a rest. allows under 21 they have to be non smoking, if the minimum age is 21, smoking is fine, BWW is no longer kid friendly.

Ahhhhh! Buffalo wings! Delicious, and only 180 calories a wing. Hmmmm...let's see, 10 wings is 1800 calories. I remember eating 20. Buffalo wings, aka fat on a stick. If I were Mayor, I'd limit each person to 3 wings unless they could show a BMI of 18.5–24.9. Does that make me a fascist, a troll, a party pooper, or just a scold? Oh, yeah, and to get health insurance you have to eat broccoli. Listen to yer mama (if she's healthy).

My son (18) has run into this very problem in the past going out to eat with some friends. As for people bringing their kids, its probably OK if kids are their with a parent or guardian. A teenager going there alone is completely different.

Only ever been to two... Once in Ft.Wayne meeting friends, and once in Auburn for same. Both places were dark, loud, greasy tables, dirty chairs/booth seats, and both had diners with children in tow.

That's going to KILL their business. The one on 146th St. was always filled with high school kids watching sports events. Smoking was only in the bar area, and the whole place has a very high ceiling, and is well ventilated.

The more jackass laws we keep allowing, the more jobs and income we keep losing. The land of the free has become the land of the chained. If someone doesn't like the smell of smoke from 50ft away, then they can get their food to go, or not go there at all-the government has no business dictating this stuff. There is no way the smoking ban would pass a democratic vote. This is a perfect example of the government elite deciding what is best for everyone. They should be arrested for treason. This is an assault on Liberty. First they dictate where you can smoke, then they dictate that you can't buy large sodas, and now they dictate that you must buy health insurance. When will it stop? It is always the LIBERALS who seem to want to take away liberty, how ironic.

Is this just a Marion county law? Down here in Vanderburgh county (Evansville) it's smoke free in all restaurants & bars, regardless of age limit.

(some how casino Astar got a pass... hmmm.. $$$$$$$)

I don't smoke, but I don't like the gov... telling people how to run their businesses either..

Indianapolis, which is where the OP says he was, already has had this in effect since 2006. In June of this year our smoking ban went further and there is no smoking in bars at all, so 21 and older doesn't float for smoking in restaurants here. Any other ideas? :dunno:

About two months ago I was there and specifically remember a hispanic family with 2 kids being in the area that is completely separated from the bar because one of the kids kept running laps around the table.

Hmmmm. Then they've changed recently. Back when Indy passed their initial smoking ban they went 21+ to allow smoking to continue.

The BW3 in Castleton has bounce back and forth between 21+ only and general admittance. It is in direct relation to the local ordinances involving smoking. It wasn't a BW3 thing.
