Dope smoking third party, yeah, that's what gun owners need.

Yeah it's about time we get rid of alcohol too!

Lol, these threads are comical. The brainwashing to the two party system has completely taken hold. This administration has done more to store your rights than any in recent memory, continuing the work of the previous 4 flawlessly. Trump is no different than a Democrat, except the fact he has a cult like following that allows him free reign to tread all over them while making excuses for his actions. Like, but what if they were in control.... They are in control.

We all have to pick a hill to die on. To me, this ain't it.
If, under the direction of Trump, the ATF changes their position on pistol braces, yet again, only a ****ing idiot would be shocked. Same thing with bump stocks. They are novelties, always have been. Neither of these toys, will be the cause of the 2nd American Revolution. Get a grip people.

"Not one more inch", makes for a nice t-shirt slogan, but are you prepared to back it up, over a novelty pistol brace? Honest question.

    I agree.
    No arguments here....."BUT"

What is your alternative. A real option. I am all eyes. (can not here you type...:):)

We have to create our alternatives. At some point we will get tired of voting the same way but hoping for change. Why would they change? We are going to vote for them anyway.

Well, honestly, no, but this is how incrementalism works. Since you brought it up, what should be the cause? Should it have happened in '34? Or '68? The left is smart enough to use incrementalism, so that the 2A crowd will be divided, pointing and laughing at the ones who say 'not one more inch'.

Is the independents or Libertarians an option for an alternative. Again, I do not think so.

They will use incrementalism until they feel they have a mandate. You know, like half of the conservatives vote for a third party and the left wins big.

RIP Ross Perot and the AWB.

Like Denny's Einstein meme, Conservatives voting for a third party, will always guarantee the same thing. The left wins. Insanity....

I am no Trump fan, never have been. He's not a conservative now, and he never was. Sure, I voted for him, and I'll likely vote for him again. I had one expectation from his presidency. No, one HOPE for his presidency. Give me "A"supreme court justice that will uphold the Constitution. I feel that I got two, but that's yet to be determined. He has filled the lower courts with plenty of conservative judges.

Pay attention millennials, sometimes you win, and don't get a trophy. The courts are the second to the last stand, against the socialists and the tyrants. It ain't time for the last stand, and I don't think anybody in here really wants that.

I'm not fans of them either. It's time that Classical Liberalism finds a voice again. The original Republican Party (not to confuse the mess that is the current GOP) was formed to address a political view that no other party was supporting. I think it's time to create a viable alternative. It will take time and there are many bureaucratic obstacles but it CAN happen.

I hear a lot of people say that they won't vote third party because they don't have a chance of winning, even though they don't like who they are voting for. One of the main reasons they don't have a chance of winning is because so many people vote for the lesser of two evils. Are third party candidates ideal? Certainly not. Is voting for Republicans again and again after they continually trash the Constitution going to help? No.
The Republican Party and the NRA have backed much of the major gun control legislation that we have today. If we go along with gun control just because it's something like a novelty item, it will eventually snowball out of control. I've never owned a bump stock or pistol brace (I have no need for either) but it's a way of getting their foot even farther in the door than it already is. If they get a national Red Flag law, how long will it be before they redefine the standards of mental illness? They are already attempting to link people on the right with Nazis, how long will it be until they call all gun owners terrorists and use Red Flag laws to slowly and incrementally disarm the entire population?
Everyone was afraid of how anti-gun Obama was, but Trump has enacted more gun control than Obama did. At least Democrats are honest about wanting to trash the Constitution, Republicans lie about it to get elected. I see very little difference between R's and D's, they are both destroying the country. Both major parties are working together behind the scenes. The fact that Republicans have completely given up on a balanced budget tells me that both parties are intentionality trying to bankrupt the system. Eventually they will replace the dollar with some other form of currency and abolish paper money. This will happen regardless of who wins elections.

Many people don't know that Ronald Reagan was a closet libertarian of sorts. When he was governor of California he said the following:[h=1]“If you analyze it I believe the very heart and soul of conservatism is libertarianism. I think conservatism is really a misnomer just as liberalism is a misnomer for the liberals — if we were back in the days of the Revolution, so-called conservatives today would be the Liberals and the liberals would be the Tories. The basis of conservatism is a desire for less government interference or less centralized authority or more individual freedom and this is a pretty general description also of what libertarianism is.”[/h]Of course, he also helped implement one of the worst pieces of gun control that is still in effect, so...

I am beginning to believe that the pro 2A who will not vote for Trump are actually looking for some kind of fight; I am not. If the socialists get in, they WILL come after our guns and I would not be surprised if it became a bit bloody. There is a possibility, with the right decision and support, we can slow that movement and possibly (slowly) begin to turn things around.

The attitude of "not one inch" will have a negative impact on all of us, our children and grandchildren.
I dont know. My 5th great grandfather and some other ancestors had that attitude and it worked out well for well ... the whole world ever since.
Sorry its not in my blood to be a servant or a subject. I know the price of freedom. I've faught for it before and still bear the scars and I sure as **** will be PROUD to do it again if some commie mother ****ersthink they're gonna trample this country into the ground. WHEN it kicks off it will be states against states. Watch and see.
The writing is on the wall people. Those of you who think youre gonna let them keep taking inches away until we slowly correct things with the ballot box might as well start buying candy bars from midgets and find your golden ticket to willy wonka's nut house.
Im not out recruiting or advocating for it. Im just calling it like its gonna happen. If you can comprehend history at all then you know it.
And my generation isn't going to be like my fathers and give freedoms away

Trump, or worse yet, a full on socialist, will be elected president of our nation in 2020. I'm betting you'll ***** louder then, right?

No, but the GOP will have again found their gonads. The popularity of Trump has emasculated the GOP from speaking up. If Trump wants to infringe on the 2nd, the GOP is going to grumble, but not do a thing. A Democrat? What their courage come back with a quickness.
