I was just speaking generically of stocks. I don't remember if I've ever owned BP or not, but I wouldn't be ashamed to admit it if I had. I trade stocks to make money; what the company does to change the stock price doesn't really mean a whole lot to me, as long as it's moving in my favor.

I'll say this, I don't think every single issue involves a conspiracy, and I also don't think every single issue happens exactly the way we are fed it on TV. A lot of you guys dislike your government as much as the next guy but you sure trust their official stories.

There is something we call the "Accidental Theory of History" for those who believe that all of the events of the 20th century have basically led us down the path toward socialism, Fed-ruled tyranny all by mere coincidence.

Is it just a coincidence that Mr.Anti-Oil-Obama witnesses the first Oil Rig disaster in how many years? All the spills you usually hear about come from tanker ships. Oil Rigs have an extremely safe track record. Just marvelously convenient timing to turn public opinion against drilling? I think it is at least worth wondering about, I could hardly laugh the guy off for having doubts.

My position is that we need more than a few accounting details to describe it as such, and we need to account for the fact that BP is losing millions of dollars daily as a result of this. I'd be willing to believe a conspiracy on the part of almost anyone except BP, given sufficient evidence, but to say BP is behind it necessarily requires the existence of a giant pot o' cash that came into existence as the result of the explosion and utterly dwarfs the magnitude of the losses they're experiencing and will experience.

I've read that BP has taken the leap into patenting and developing many alternative energy programs and products. Could this be their way of pushing the AE issue further along by gaining public support against oil? It's something that would make sense.

You have to look at ALL possibilities here. As I've said before, just because it sounds ridiculous, doesn't mean it's not possible. Or probable. There are some REALLY evil people out there that are fueled by greed. Those with money and power always want more. Human nature.

So before you discount any possibilities as conspiracy babble bs, ask yourself, is it possible? What do they have to gain? Did they have the means? What is the risk? Is there any reason this explanation could make sense?

If you can find an answer to these questions, its possible.
