Very saddened by this news. As others have said, he is a strong supporter of the Second Amendment and has been a great trainer for hundreds of firearms owners. So sorry for his family and co-workers.

This thread is hilarious. I mean, he is such a good guy! Multiple counties, drug task force, the FBI...such a good guy.

Certain allegations have recently arisen in regards to my conduct. While I believe I have committed no illegal acts, I must apologize for serious errors of judgment in my personal life.

So...serious errors in judgement. Remember that one the next time you shack up with a crack-whore, folks.

I also realize that some might believe that all my previous words about honor, duty and responsibility now seem hypocritical.

You think so? Is your wife still buying that while pictures of you sticking it to a crack-whore run through her head?

I will also work to again be worthy of the trust that so many placed in me over the years.

How cute. He just needs a second chance. What does Shari have to say?

What did crack whores do to you?

He sure isn't the first to succumb to this temptation and I won't be one who disregards the good he's done on account of something which (apparently) isn't illegal and took place behind closed doors. If info comes to light painting him as a criminal that would change things but I suspect that won't happen.

When walking on water, does a person's feet get wet? Just a random question I had, perhaps someone in this thread is qualified to answer it for me.

Too bad he wasnt a flaming liberal. Everyone would overlook it and say things like "what does it matter? He's a good cop! Everyone makes mistakes. He really didnt mean it. Its no big deal...". (note the intentional lack of purple)

the same thing is going on here at this very moment?....waiting to hear someone call on his pension to be forfeited

You'll have people saying that sort of thing either way. The biggest difference between a conservative and a liberal is their own reaction. Ken did the right thing and is removing himself from office. A liberal would deny, deflect and refuse to resign.

I've never taken a class from him but I have met him and spoke with him a few times. He seems like a generally great guy and has done TONS to help bring great trainers to central Indiana. He let p$%^y get him in trouble. Not the first and certainly not the last. Any of you guys ever let that happen? Stones and glass houses and all that.

Not exactly. There is a subtle difference between "leave him alone, he didnt hurt anybody, so he shouldnt have to resign." and "its a shame he screwed up and is owning up to it."

I dont see anyone here who likes the man saying he shouldnt resign because it was no big deal.

ETA: I'm a libertarian who thinks that prostitution is no big deal; two consenting adults engaging in a mutually beneficial business transaction should not be illegal. (why is it illegal to buy something that is otherwise given away "free"?) But I acknowledge its still an illegal act and as a LEO he should own up to his unlawful transgression.

    Right here.
Hey, maybe he was just helping out a college student earn her tuition money?

In all seriousness I would never judge the man...he has his own hell to go through now.

WTF? I don't care where he sticks his "gun". Without knowing his personal home life which is none of my or YOUR business at this moment this state and country have more important issues. FYI I will tell the pope (all lower case) to shove a rod up to sunshine for HIS views on socialism and how we all should support the free breeders. Someone with an axe to grind be it right or wrong went this route.

And for what its worth I will support a man who is simply looking to get laid compared to a purposely corrupt sack of stuff. Slick willy was a joke and in the after action report mostly harmless other than exposing the world to log legs. Tell ya what every man who condemns this man without fessing up to owning a playboy, jerkin the gerkin to your sisters friend or in some cases brother take a step forward and raise your right hand which Im SURE will be calloused.
He may not be spotless but would you like to see him respond to a emergency at your place or the pope wanna be's here? Was he banging a married woman? A fellow LEO's wife? If its a simple transaction who cares? I bet there is a new guy in the wings and HE wont be the guy who supports the 2A like this.
How many of you self righteous "pucks" would like to have your REAL dark secrets exposed? Self righteous pukes like you make me want to vomit.

Well, ya own what ya do, and Ken Campbell IS doing that. Respect to him for that.

Now, how about Obama, Holder, Reid, etc., etc., etc. doing the SAME?
