Maybe if mayors and governors were

The Kenosha Kid.
I have been trying to go back and find the picture that shows the bicep from the side, but I cannot.
You’d think the other militia members would have been extra protective of that kid.
On a side note. If someone hired them to protect businesses, it had to be an insurance company. During this pandemic, I imagine a lot of business owners are hoping their businesses burn down.
Yeah. He's going to get convicted of (relatively) minor fire arms charges. Open carry as a minor in WI and maybe unlawful transport of some sort (not sure but figure there's *some* statute.)
There's no way that he gets convicted of murder.
I'm guessing that the the defense shows a big picture of a damned AR and says something like "I'm going to argue, and prove, that this firearm saves my clients life that night."
First, it’s pure speculation on my part to say that he might have had friends/family/business connections there, that brought him there. The opposite is true as well however, and we can’t know at this point his motivation for being there. Maybe he had that connection. The kid is considered a fool because what he was “defending” wasn’t his to defend. Don’t get me wrong, the terrorists deserve all the hell they raise. But it needs to be raised by people who live there.
There’s a difference between unable to defend and unwilling. And morally I can not endanger my family or myself for people unwilling to put some skin of their own in the game.
I did my time in uniform. From here on out, I’m only endangering myself for those who love and depend on me or those who need help defending themselves. But doing all the bleeding while they watch from a distance?
Nope.

If they're covered. And if they can afford the resulting increased premiums.
Just like when they want to call the cops, while out protesting cops.Even if they're covered and decide to rebuild, there's a good chance it won't be in their same location because of this kind of crap. So then there will be complaints about food deserts and other nonsense.
He sure outdid the Schofield kid.
I guess they had it coming.

It seems there is video evidence that the first person to be shot during what I guess the press is now calling the "Rittenhouse Incident" was chasing Mr. Rittenhouse with a gun. It is not great resolution, but it sounds / looks as if Rittenhouse fires in the air (warning shot I guess) as he is being chased. After that, the man chasing Mr. Rittenhouse may have fired or someone nearby fired to which Mr. Rittenhouse seems to have returned fire probably assuming he was the one being shot at.
Edited to add: The resolution is terrible, so it's hard for me to tell. I am relaying what is in the article. This is INGO, I am sure it will be analyzed and debated.

Let's say he was talking . What difference does that make to a claim of self-defense? He was running away and being pursued, short of having committed some kind of felony, how does that not make it a case of self-defense?And if you happen to learn that he pointed a gun at protesters, and threatened to shoot someone prior to the altercation occurring? Would you still seek to see him walk free?
There’s still a great deal we don’t know about concerning how this occurred. From what I’m seeing, people just are assuming, the mob saw a white kid with a gun, and started chasing him. That doesn’t make sense to me. As I stated earlier, there have been plenty of pro-BLM white guys toting guns, and not ended up fleeing for their lives. So what is the difference here? How did they know that kid wasn’t on their “side.” That’s a key piece, that I believe ultimately will weigh heavily on where this case goes.
We all heard the red shirt guy exclaiming “shoot me,” was he challenging a threat made, or did he just see the gun and make an assumption? For all those who may sympathize with the kid, don’t get too far ahead of yourselves.
