“Police believe the shooters were carrying out a hit on one individual, who is among the deceased, and the other victims were caught in the crossfire.

“Someone was willing to pay money to have that person killed,” Thurmond said.”

No one is personally responsible anymore. It's the culture.

One way to change culture is to prosecute criminals according to the law, especially when the culture you want wrote those laws.

I am....er.....just deposited what I think of that quote in the Menards bathroom....oh wait that part belongs in the OSUT thread.

Woodfin said at the height of gun violence in the U.S., which was in the 1990s, the ban on assault weapons was passed.

“Our country, and not just our country but the City of Birmingham, in that 10-year window saw the lowest form of gun violence,’’ he said

    Birmingham mayor.

    Is that national stat right?

Glock switches used. He wants state laws for using them. 10 years if caught with one, 25 years if used in a shooting, life if a victim dies.

I don't believe it is. If I remember correctly the percentage of shootings that involved so called "assault weapons" was very low.

And yes, it is a cultural thing. Time to quit tiptoeing around not offending any particular disenfranchised minority.

"The shooters are “believed” to have used machine gun conversion devices, according to the Sunday news release. The devices can be used to override the trigger mechanism on a gun, so it functions as a machine gun.
Conversion devices “can convert semi-automatic pistols and rifles into fully automatic weapons in less than 60 seconds,” according to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
The federal government considers the small devices themselves to be illegal machine guns. Even without an accompanying firearm, they are illegal to own."

So we "need" MORE Gun Laws??????

The interviews with the mayor and the police chief were a joke! They just do not want to admit this was but another incident of black on black crime. They just won’t admit that it is low life cretins perpetrating these crimes. Then they say it’s gun violence!
No it’s not gun violence; it’s criminal violence brought about by Democraps being soft on crime and criminals!
    Period! :rockwoot:

I cant readily find the clip, but all weekend these officials were on the news saying they want the "switches" banned.

No idea that the existence of these switches are already against federal law or that the revolving incarceration's doors are the real problem.

That’s because these so called “officials”, police and mayor included, are all a bunch of stupid idiot Democraps who don’t know their butt from a hole in the ground.
And people wonder why Democraps turn each city they control into a cesspool?
