Recently discovered Hulu. Mainly because it is included as part of my cell plan. While looking for something to watch, I stumbled on a program called "Neat: The History of Bourbon". Watching this program put me in the mood for some bourbon. Decided to open a bottle of Four Rose Small Batch. Very nice. Little burn, long lasting heat.

    Tasting notes state:
    Nose:
Mellow spice, rich fruit, hints of sweet oak & caramel.
    Palate:
Mellow, ripened red berries, dried spice, well-balanced, rich.
    Finish:
    Soft, smooth & pleasantly long.

All kinds of bourbon is on sale at the Meijer stores today. I grabbed a Jefferson's Ocean aged for $67.

Some other prices: Blanton $55 & Bookers $70. Both sold out in Carmel though.

I need another bottle of Heritage BSB 103! I think I got it from a little liquor store off Brookville road & I465 but maybe it came from 21st Amendment @ Fall Creek & 82nd (I have not seen it at any other 21st Amd) though.

    Help me out INGO!

I haven't seen Blanton's under $100 for years, when I've even seen it at all. And I've seen it marked as high as $250.

If you can find it for $55 a bottle, buy a case and sell it online.

The owners are some of the original 12 soldiers that went of the offensive days after 9/11. (Movie 12 Strong).

The mold for the bottles is made from steel from then Wolrd Trade Center. I know nothing else about it but thought I'd drop it in here with all you drinkers. :buddies::alcoholic:

Interesting, I see it, I knew it had some veteran backing... I didn't know that detail about the mold. I'll have to check it out, they seem to have three varieties.

Been buying some Hotel Tango Distillery stuff lately, also veteran-owned

This is the same thread where everyone complains about not being able to buy products for MSRP, right?

I've only owned two bottles of Blanton's in my life, one second-hand.

    I'm pretty salty about it.

I did find a source for Angel's Envy Rye, recently... wife is stocked up for the next couple years.

The only Blantons worth drinking is Blanton's Straight from the Barrel. Its anywhere from 125 to 140 proof depending on the barrel. Not sold in the U.S., they only ship it overseas to sell. Stupid.
You can get it. It runs $150 to $200.

I know a guy who has a impressive whiskey collection. I asked him how he did it. The secret he said was to buy a bottle drink 1/3 put it away and buy another and do the same repeat.
    Tried it it works
