hrmpf, chastised by Miss MINGO monkey herself........ bring it.:stickpoke:

That's the truth. My peeps in the sandbox are not feeling the bamaluv right now. I think the exact terminology per last IM message was "commander-in-chump". I'd like to note that previously, the affectionate title given was "commander-in-chimp" - which is NOT racist, because a black guy said it and nothing is racist unless it comes from whitey.

...and the monkey/chimp community is upset with me? :dunno:

Lastly, I WISH there was some sort of provision to have everyone go through a STANDARD gun safety course before owning/shooting a gun. But unfortunately I don't really think that is possible because I think that would infringe upon the our rights in one way or another.

There's no need for a buch of more rules, regulations, red tape, laws or any such sort of mamby pamby bullcrap.

    What's needed is some balls.

People around here claim they are gonna just walk up and pop a rapist in the back of the head but they don't have the balls to look a moron eye to eye and call him a moron and tell him to pay attention to what he's doing when it's really happening instead of a hypothetical line of bull on an internet messege board thread. They just "pack up and go home".

Right there's the problem. The problem with gun owners, the problem with the hunting community and the problem with the country.

Moronic actions at the range I belong to will get you corrected quickly, maybe escorted off the property, and possibly barred from the property. Leo's train there now and then... you either behave, or be gone.

instead of a hypothetical line of bull on an internet messege board thread.

yep, lots of that going around.... and, it'll most likely continue to occur.

You're right starting a confrontation with someone, who has already proven irresponsible with a firearm, and is holding a loaded one is the answer... might as well just shoot him now, finish your range visit, police your brass and dump his body in the trash with your used targets.... not every gun owner is a big balled bada$$ like you. And ya know that's ok! We have passive gun owners, liberal gun owners, conservative gun owners, angry gun owners happy gun owners, dumb ones and smart ones... that's why this country is so great. We ALL have the right to bear arms and if some of us want to be passive then fine! While my personal instinct would be to sternly and politely correct the moron, it's ok (and probably a good thing) that not everyone is like me or you!

I've never seen anything like that. But first time I went to this one range, the person opperating the range asked me to keep an eye on a few younger guys that were there to make sure they don't do anything stupid. I found this entertaining because I had never shot there, didn't personally know the chick renting me the lane, and i'm only 25, in opposed to a 40yr old that might "look" more responsible. The guys didn't do anything stupid and I had a great time shooting. Just was interesting to me. I never asked her why she told me of all people.

This has been debated recently... and I decided that if I wanted to live under a safety net of rules, regulations, fines, licenses, mandatory classes, fingerprints, and gun registrations... there is always IL/NY/CA.

Perhaps discuss with the range officer that people are unaware of the rules and need better signage or closer monitoring.

    No more 2A infringements.

"No confrontation here, just stay behind the line until people know WTF you are going to do if you don't want to get killed. That's my good deed for the day, yer on your own now."

...even better, threads like this is why I don't do Atterbury type places any more.
