It was just annoying that such a topic can bring out the worst in people. We had folks registering accounts here just to be obtuse and then there were all the links to 5t0rmfr0nt and their nonsense. Warnings were issued, ignored and finally bans were implemented. It still didn't calm down. That thread is the prime example of why we can't have nice things.
