Is this film a Peter Fonda vehicle, one where he is the "star" of the movie, or is he in a relatively minor supporting role? Peter Fonda hasn't been a leading man in a LONG time. If he's in a starring role, with the film revolving around, then yeah, it should be shelved, but if he's not, then I can see why Sony is reluctant to scrap the film.
