The ABA said: "We're not nearly liberal enough", so they created the "Law Student Division".

I haven't been a member since I was a student and used it to get catastrophic-only health insurance. I imagine they don't offer that anymore.

Here's the deal with law students. There are plenty of conservative types, and a few get active in organizations. The rest of them, like me, were too busy doing crazy things like studying and working and such. The liberal types, as in the rest of academia, are everywhere and dominate the faculty. They are almost always loud and members of all kinds of groups....therefore, they run most things including being the ABA delegates. Fine, whatever. I don't care. I just wish I could be there the day whatever number of them actually make partner at a firm and start having to pay estimated quarterly taxes.

Since we're making up wish lists, I think everyone should have the right to say whatever they want, but choose not to say many things because they don't want to be jerks.

...but since I live in a world where jerks are everywhere, I'll settle for the freedom.

Me too. I just get tired of hearing it celebrated and reviled at the same time, depending on who is saying it. It needs to be one or the other.

The 2 firms I have spent most of my career with don't countenance such foolishness. We're not all conservatives, but none are SJW types that seem to be so prominent in law school.

I'm thinking businesses don't want to irritate customers, of either leaning.
    Kinda like ferrymen.

Is taking your picture with cops a thing?

While walking into Craig Park this afternoon, a group of ladies ahead of me asked two of the Greenwood Police officers to stop and take their picture with them.

With celebrities, okay. Musicians, great. Possibly even veterans, on rare occasion. But cops? Just seemed really awkward.

Their way of showing the officers that NOT EVERYONE is against the police.
    At least my guess.
