I haven't flown a lot, but I've flown a couple of cool things. This is a pair of SIAI Marchetti SF-260 light attack fighters I got to learn some basic dogfighting in. My instructor (in the right seat, not visible) was a Marine Harrier pilot. That's me in the left seat looking at my opponent. The big black thing on the panel is a sun shield for the gun cam video monitor. If you look closely, you can see that I had forgotten to completely buckle my 'chute harness... oops! :): (Don't worry, I fixed it before we took off!)

I also spent some stick time in a Waco bi-plane that looked like this. I don't have a pic of the actual one I flew, but the paint job on the left-hand one is identical, so there's every possibility that it's the same aircraft:

I'm not a licensed pilot myself, but I've spent some time in this. My grandpa owns it and my uncle is also a pilot. It's a fun little plane. Piper Comanche.

I back up my maintenance position as an FE on Gulfstream G450 and G550. With classic GIV and GV prior to these. I also have time in the Cessna 150, 152, 172, 172RG, 210, 310, 340 and 402. I worked at a flight school some moons back but the 210 was a friends dad's airplane.

I'm loading nav databases on one of the 550's as I type this. :)

OK...I confess...my son (at the nose) pilots one of these BUT he also shoots a 9mm Glock so he's REALLY one of us, just not registered.

Edit:I DID fly the simulator, BTW!

Sorry it's not an aircraft... but it's fast enough... right? :)
Other then paper airplanes, I've only flown some guy's rc airplane way back when I was maybe 10 or 12 at some air club that is no longer around... He took it up in the air then handed me the radio.. not to long after he ripped it out of my hands and kept his plane from going out of it's range and crashing.

I laughed, but I love flying those little RC heli's.

I have yet to really fly one, I just crash them into walls as soon as they take off.Or I hit my own head with it 5 seconds after take off.:):
Those things are meant to be used by 10 years old, I have no idea how they do it. :dunno:

I do wear safety glasses when I do that. And everybody should because you have no idea where this thing will go.I dont anyway.

Private Pilot here and the "trickest" thing I've flown is a Cessna 182. I know, I know....not exactly exciting, but fun to fly none-the-less. :)
