Yep. There's a lack of understanding about what's going on. I had a friend call me today and say "they're banning all 5.56?!?!?! I guess I'll just shoot .223 from now on."

I already have the pre-election stash, so I sure as hell won't be buying into the panic.

Aside....how long until some jerk starts painting green tips on his bullets and selling them for 5 times what he paid?

Yeah, many people believe all .223/5.56 have been banned and are buying all they can.

Wow. I just did a quick search on the sites I normally buy ammo from, and everything is pretty much gone.

I had no idea people were panic buying again...

Here's hoping the silver lining with this new wave of hoarding is that .22 starts to reappear on local shelves at once again reasonable prices!!

Ya, ya... I know... right next to the freshly cut unicorn horns--not that I'd promote violence against any mythical creatures, so please, please, please don't steal my pets, PETA!! :scared:

Looks like the demand's up...just checked AmmoSeek and the price is going for about 5-6 cents/round more than when I bought some a week or so ago.

    Yes, .22lr is yesterday's panic.

Today's panic item is 5.56 and .223 (all varieties).

The next panic item is .303 British due to backlash from colonialism. Please tell all your friends that if they want to get ahead they should stop buying .22lr and 5.56/.223 and start buying .303 British.

Sorry, Lee-Enfield guys. I don't own one of those (yet).

If only people would have been warning everyone this was going to happen. Wait until the November 2016 panic. Nobody is warning anyone over that one either.
