Well, i decided to build the lower receiver tonight. Im still switching grips and getting a magpul or rock river arms trigger guard(thats why the trigger guard isnt installed)

I also lost the pivot pin detent. They are tiny and it is hard to install. So i have to order another one, oh well

Here are my picks of the lower build

    Lower parts---

You really didnt need the punches to build the lower. Best thing I have found is a small hammer with a nylon head and I only used it for the bolt catch roll pin. But if the punches worked for you then you are good to go.

Looks good. Is this your first one?

I just used the punches to align the trigger with disconnecter to install the trigger pin. Same with the hammer.

and yes this is my first build. I cant wait to get to finish it and shoot it some:do2:

Not exactly a build question, but more of a price and availability thing. I have built several guns, including a HK94, 91, AK47, 74, ect..., but I have not built one of these.

About how much money are we talking about to complete one? My 94 was around 1,000.00 when I built the parts for it.

You can build a ar for under $700 using all new parts.
I have under $1000 in my SBR including the tax stamp and the eotech.

BTW, We got Pauls detent in and badger latch installed today.

Glad to see things are coming along good, pmags are ok, But the best bang for the $ us at http://www.44mag.com/departments.asp?dept=1326

Looks good. I am jealous of the M16 carrier. All mine are the plain ole AR version.

I had almost 30 Pmags at one time. I think I have 2 now. They dont fit well into some mag pouches. They just arent USGI. The link Don left ya is the best place to get mags. CProducts are usually a good price. Thats where we ordered from last time.
