It's worked for me. Personally when I daily carried an M4 I had a ACOG. This is a Bushmaster TRS-25 on a 45 degree mount.

I was inspired by the video of that older 3 gunner gentleman who has the same setup. I can roll the rifle around without loosing cheek position.

    What video would that be?

I can't believe I found it on my first try with some crappy keywords.

He uses a reflex sight, but same principle. I'll never see a 3-gun tourney, so for targets, zombies, and insurgents this will work well enough for me.

Bushnell TRS-25 cost me $125, cantilever mount cost me $20.

I'm a military guy who really loves his iron sights, but I wanted a quick reaction type scope for MOUT training.

So I'm assuming by the location of the sight you went with, that you shoot lefty?

Very cool video. I've seen some other pictures with offset sights, but had never seen them put to use in a video.

    ETA Pic thread:

My M&P15 has been on here before, but I hadn't taken any outside photos since I put on the new Magpul Goodies.

No. I'll relocate the sight tomorrow at the range to try both styles of shooting. It's a very slight roll either direction to use the sight, so I think it will come down to preference.

If I have time I'll document a bit of it.

My latest AR build. I was going for lightweight this time, Calvary Arms lower, Colt Sporter upper (this is the one with the bull barrel from the gas block forward but skinny under the handguards), has the carrying handle shaved leaving the sights but letting me mount optics low. Love the way this one handles and shoots.

I thought I had posted this in the thread already but I guess not. Anyways my Frankenstein AR.

    Bushmaster lower
    Armalite 20inch .223 upper
    Colt bolt group
    Chip McCormick target trigger
    Harris bipod
    CAA stock saddle
    Duracoated ABU Dark Gray Green.
(scope is gone, still looking for a decent replacement)

Looks like the tool (c'drill?) is cutting before the coolant comes on..... they need to either slow the f/rate or hit the M8 earlier....;)

Cool video and a very nice looking lower too !!! I may have to look into getting a couple.

Made some changes. Swapped out the crappy UTG for a Magpul ACS, got a Magpul ASAP sling/mount and a Burris scope mount (still no scope yet).
