I bought the stripped receiver for $110.00 and then added all the parts needed to build the rifle just because I wanted to. Some would say "it's a parts gun" but then aren't they all? These are "Military Specification" parts and will all interchange with any other part. I did smooth the trigger sear and add a set screw to limit trigger travel, then I installed a "reduced power" trigger kit to get the trigger pull down to 4-1/2 lbs. from 10-1/2 lbs.
The Reciever-$110, Parts kit-$75, Stock-$43, 3-30 round mags-$12 ea., Butt pad-$16, Complete upper-$445, A2 carry handle-$38, DPMS extended front sight-$16, JP Enterprises spring kit-$10, DPMS, Scope bese -$8, B-Square, Scope base and rings-$17, Blackhawk, sling-$9, ambidextrious safety-$25.00 for a grand total of $848.00. I already had the scope.
I might have been able to buy a used rifle cheaper but where's the fun in that?

Built this one over the winter. Took it to the range for the first time two weeks ago, and it is now my favorite rifle.

    Straight-Up A2 Clone:

    Has a Bushmaster 20" 1:7 Chrome-lined barrel and a BCM M16 BCG.

    She's a sweet shooter for sure! :D

On offset micro like that... hmmmm... I wonder if there's someone on here with serious experience with that set up?

    Interesting to say the least!

It's worked for me. Personally when I daily carried an M4 I had a ACOG. This is a Bushmaster TRS-25 on a 45 degree mount.

I was inspired by the video of that older 3 gunner gentleman who has the same setup. I can roll the rifle around without loosing cheek position.
