I listen to all kinds of music, but Metal is definitely one of my favorites. Love Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Rush, the Nuge (natch'), Motorhead...the list is pretty long.

Copper (Cu) is not so heavy, try tungsten (W) and maybe tantalum (Ta) or niobium (Nb - aka columbium, Cb). W will penetrate deeper . . .

I went to reply to the thread and got sucked into youtube videos...

Judas Priest is my favorite, but if it's metal, chances are I'll head-bang to it. There's nothing like being in the middle of a pumped up crowd during a concert.

Count me in and thank God for internet radio... I can't stand what used to be my favorite radio station in the Louisville area anymore now since I'm back from school, they play nothing but the watered down pop/rock now.

I have been a Maiden fan since 1980.
But mostly listen to Type O Negative these days.
Not metal IMHO but they get classed as such, are heavy in a different way and very good.

One of my all time favorites, musically it IMHO is fantastic (and yeah, I was an art major, understand music theory and other, so stand very firm in my assessments). Not saying folks have to like technical high end stuff, ya like what ya like, make no apologies for that! But when people claim a band to be superior, or a song, and it's some crap a 5th grader with 2 months of garage time can pull off..............it might well be a great song but it isn't a friggin' masterpiece

IMHO a lot of metal flat out sucks. It's emotionally charged, but that doesn't mean its really of some substantial musical merit.

Which reminds me.............of when Maiden brought on that turd Blaze. WTF were they thinking??? Hated that era.
Fates Warning fan and coworker and I got to talking back then............what should Maiden have done?

Simple answer: Dio.

Dio up front with Maiden...........that would have been "mighty". Probably would have destroyed all else in their wake. Not sure who should sing this song, maybe not Dio..........dunno. But it hammers and needs a better vocalist.........what a waste of a great intro.........screaming crap just sucks.
