I don't think it's that easy to "blow stuff up" especially when part of that stuff is literally bomb-proof, like MRAPs and such.

Start it up, pull oil drain plug, walk away. Khyber Pass Kustoms isn't too likely to be in the engine remanufacturing game. If there's any doubt, add some of that sand surrounding it to the engine oil first. There is a spec for how long an MRAP has to run at maximum governed engine speed with no engine oil, and it's an impressive number, but it's not "Jihad-on-wheels" impressive.

Then there's the whole death from above thing. MRAPs are generally not intended to be hit from above the way they are from the bottom. We could smoke every truck in Afghanistan like they were baby back ribs if we wanted to. We still could. Seems like the guy running the show doesn't want to...

On the positive side, the point has been made by many people that they lack the capabilities to maintain any of the equipment and the parts to repair it even if they could. All of that stuff is going to be scrap iron in 12 months. What we lost here is the propaganda war. Pictures like that are going to be in their recruiting materials for generations to come.

The final piece of the puzzle will be when Biden lifts all of Trump's tariffs on China. I'm guessing they're going to wait until after the midterms to do that and then old Joe is going to be out the door and the Harris administration will begin.

If nothing happens with China, then all bets are off. They could actually just be this incompetent.

Wipe out the current admin, pelosi takes over, picks a VP, then steps down.

I don't think China has the stones to do it. The next threat after Taiwan is to Japan and South Korea and there's a whole bunch of bad things that will happen if it goes that far. China expanding their presence in the region by way of full-on invasion will likely provoke WW3, even if we're not there to participate.
